The corrosion-free guides of the gantry measuring machine are made of granite and hand-lapped with high precision. The guideways are completely covered and protected against dirt. The control system and PC are integrated into the machine for a minimal footprint. The space requirement is small with an excellent price-performance ratio. The SF 55 has passive vibration damping and can be optionally upgraded with active vibration isolation. For use in series measurements, the machine achieves a multiple of the usual scanning speed in comparator mode with only slightly worse repeatability values.

The SF 55 is universally applicable. Both in the direct production environment, in incoming goods and in classic quality assurance, prismatic and free-form workpieces are measured with the coordinate measuring machine, both series and individual single parts.
