The LH Gantry is a CNC coordinate measuring machine with air bearings in all axes. It offers all the advantages and application possibilities of the LH series and was also specially designed for the inspection of large-volume and heavy workpieces. The raised guides in the Y-axis additionally ensure maximum stability and rigidity, even with dynamic movements.
Overall, the machine body forms an inherently stable, homogeneous unit with optionally integrated active vibration damping, which does not require a separate foundation. Thermal environmental influences acting on the workpiece and the CMM can be corrected by means of automatic temperature compensation (optional). Through the optional use of a rotary table, even large rotationally symmetrical components can be measured flexibly and accurately. measuring machines of the LH Gantry series are available in the accuracy classes Standard, Premium and Premium-Select.

Typical areas of application are, for example, the measurement of large engines, large gearboxes or heavy machinery components. The LH GANTRY series also meets the growing demand for e-mobility and the associated new challenges for quality assurance. Examples of applications are the measurement of battery boxes for e-cars or – one size larger – for e-commercial vehicles.
